More Convenient Humidity Control for Cigar Cabinets
Designed for cigar cabinets, display humidors and cigar lockers, this 4.8 L electronic humidifier combines real-time humidity monitoring, an external sensor, a removable touchscreen controller and automatic water-level control. Use the controller in battery-powered wireless mode or connect it with the supplied 6.56 ft USB cable.
How Automatic Filling Works
- Connect the water inlet: Connect the humidifier to a suitable external reservoir or water supply using the correct inlet connection for your installation.
- Monitor the tank level: An internal water-level control detects when the reservoir falls below its operating level.
- Refill automatically: The inlet opens to replenish the reservoir without requiring the cabinet to be opened for every refill.
- Stop at the correct level: The inlet closes automatically after the operating level is restored, helping prevent overfilling.
Please note: Automatic filling requires an external water source or reservoir. Without that connection, the unit still works as a standard manual-fill humidifier through the large top refill opening.
Flexible Controller Placement
The controller can be placed inside or outside the cabinet. The humidity sensor must remain inside the cigar-storage area so it measures the cabinet environment rather than the room.
Automatic Humidity Control
The external humidity sensor measures the conditions inside the storage area. When cabinet humidity drops below the selected setting, the humidifier operates to add moisture. When the target is reached, the system returns to standby.

Recommended Installation
- Place the humidifier: Position the main unit level at the bottom of the cigar cabinet. Keep the air inlet and outlet clear.
- Install the sensor: Place the humidity sensor inside the main storage zone, preferably near the center and away from direct humidified airflow, lights and wet surfaces.
- Choose the controller location: Keep the controller inside the cabinet, mount it outside with the USB cable, or use four AAA batteries for wireless placement.
- Prepare the water supply: For auto-fill operation, connect the inlet to a suitable external reservoir or water source. For manual operation, add distilled water through the large refill opening.
- Connect power: Use the correct power supply for the ordered voltage version.
- Set and stabilize: Select the desired RH setting, close the cabinet and allow the cabinet, cedar shelves, boxes and cigars time to stabilize.

Water and Maintenance
- Use distilled water: This helps reduce mineral buildup, residue and odors inside the reservoir and humidification media.
- Check the inlet connection: Inspect the tube, fitting and water source regularly for secure connection and proper flow.
- Inspect the water level: Even with automatic filling, visually check the tank and water supply during routine cabinet maintenance.
- Clean periodically: Disconnect power and water before cleaning. Empty and wipe the reservoir with a clean, soft cloth; avoid strongly scented cleaners.
- Check humidification media: Clean or replace the wet media if airflow is reduced, mineral deposits are visible or an odor develops.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does “auto-fill” mean I never need to supply water?
No. The automatic inlet must be connected to a suitable external reservoir or water source. The internal level control automatically starts and stops the incoming water. If no external source is connected, you can refill the 4.8 L tank manually.
Can the touchscreen controller be mounted outside the cabinet?
Yes. The controller can be placed outside the cabinet. Use four AAA batteries for battery-powered wireless placement, or connect it with the supplied 2 m / 6.56 ft USB cable. An optional flat pass-through cable can help the cabinet door close more easily.
If the controller is outside, can it still measure the humidity inside?
Yes. The humidity sensor remains inside the cigar cabinet and sends the measured humidity to the controller. The controller location does not replace the internal sensor location.
What cabinet size is this model suitable for?
It is recommended for enclosed cigar-storage spaces of approximately 10–70 cu ft / 0.28–1.98 m³. Actual performance depends on cabinet sealing, shelf layout, ambient climate and door-opening frequency.
What water should I use?
Distilled water is recommended to reduce mineral deposits and keep the reservoir and humidification media cleaner. Avoid untreated hard water.
Where should the humidity sensor be placed?
Place it inside the main cigar-storage area, ideally near the center of the cabinet. Keep it away from the direct air outlet, water, lights, glass exposed to sunlight and the door opening.
Does this unit cool or heat the cabinet?
No. This model controls humidity only. Temperature control requires a separate cooling or heating system.
Which voltage should I order?
Choose 110 V / 60 Hz for most North American installations and 220 V / 50 Hz where that supply is standard. Confirm the site voltage and plug requirement before placing the order.
Can this humidifier ship with a custom cigar cabinet?
